Documents to Request from a Chinese Manufacturer Before Ordering

Published 17 Oct 2026

Pannarit Corp Co., Ltd.

A competitive quotation is only part of purchasing. Check whether the manufacturer can supply the information needed to assess the product before placing an order, particularly where permits are required.

Identify the exact product

Request the name, model, composition or materials, intended use, photographs and labels. Documents should refer to the version you plan to purchase. Ask for clarification when only abbreviations or trade names are provided.

Identify the actual manufacturer

When purchasing through a trader, ask for the manufacturer’s name, address and documentation contact. A seller’s availability does not guarantee access to complete manufacturer documents.

Select technical documents by product

A product specification, Certificate of Analysis (COA) or Safety Data Sheet (SDS) may help an assessment. They are not universally mandatory for all goods. Request relevant documents and check that they describe the proposed product.

Check consistency and scope

Compare manufacturer names, product models, issue dates and document scope against the label and quotation. Resolve discrepancies before ordering. Overseas certification does not automatically replace Thai requirements.

What if documents are missing?

List the gaps and distinguish documents received from documents merely promised. Have the applicable requirements assessed. For products requiring permits, complete the necessary licensing before ordering.

Questions for the supplier

  • Does this document cover the exact model and composition offered?
  • Who manufactures the product and handles documentation?
  • Can you provide complete composition information and label images?
  • Which documents are missing, and can the manufacturer provide them?

Send the available information to Pannarit for a product-specific assessment within the service scope. Begin reviewing documents before the goods are ready to ship.
